Mark Mazullo, Piano

We invite you all to a mid-winter concert at our home on St. Paul’s West Side featuring long-time friend and Macalester music professor, Mark Mazullo. This program of solo piano music will include works by J. S. Bach and Ludwig van Beethoven. Get a sneak preview of a late Beethoven sonata that will be part of an all late-Beethoven program that Mark is presenting in February at Macalester!

Check out the program!

As Mark eloquently writes, “Beethoven’s visionary late music explored uncharted emotional and intellectual territory. His last five sonatas come to terms with the most profound aspects of human experience — death and transcendence, childhood and memory, love and loss, physical pain and recovery.” As an internationally acclaimed performer and scholar of Beethoven, Mark is uniquely able to help illuminate these depths.

We will have snacks and beverages after the program befitting its Germanic progenitors, including some soul-warming Glühwein and Lebkuchen! Stay after to meet the artist and enjoy the company of friends.

The suggested donation is $15 at the door or pay as able!
